Balsa Bozovic Serbia
Balša Božović was born in 1983 in Belgrade. He holds a law degree from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, where he is currently completing his master’s studies. He is a civic activist and public policy expert from Serbia, with extensive experience in democratic governance, regional cooperation, and youth empowerment in the Western Balkans. He is the founder and director of the Regional Academy for the Development of Democracy (ADD).
Božović is also an associate at the Centre for Western Balkan Studies (CWBS), where he contributes to research and policy analysis in the fields of European integration and democratic resilience. He is a regular speaker at international conferences and the author of several publications on democracy, reconciliation, and sustainable development.
He is the initiator, creator, and project manager of some of ADD’s most prominent initiatives, such as the Quo Vadis, Balkan? regional plenary series, the just transition program, and a member of the project team of the EU-funded RYDE project. He is also an alumnus and published author of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, having participated in several of its programs.
Božović is a member of the Forum 2000 network and has contributed articles to their publications. While he previously held public office, his work in recent years has been fully focused on the civil society sector.
