The Academy for Democratic Development taking part in the initiative of world leaders
Aleksandra Jerkov, a member of the Executive Committee of the Academy for Democratic Development (ADD), signed a letter on behalf of the organization, along with 152 world leaders, leading companies and the world’s most important organizations, to US President Joseph Biden urging him to take decisive action on the climate change and calling him to start implementing the environmental agenda.

People who signed the letter also committed themselves to supporting him in reaching these important goals.
Among the signatories of the letter are presidents, owners and CEOs of the world’s largest companies, such as Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, Jesper Brodin, CEO of IKEA, Bill Ford, CEO of Ford Motors, Ryan Gellert, CEO of Patagonia, Enrique Lores, CEO director of HP inc., as well as many others.

In addition to them, the initiative was signed by prominent politicians all over the globe and current and former officials, such as David Miliband, John Podesta, Ricardo Lagos and several MEPs, including Kati Piri, Pascal Canfin, Javier Lopez Fernandez and others.

The letter addressed to the President of the United States of America was published in the New York Times and it attracted great media attention around the world, and the signatories formed a network that will actively cooperate in the future and work together on these and other topics.
